Goal: To create an engaging and visually dynamic invitation that encourages attendance while reflecting the playful and expressive nature of comic book culture.
This comic book workshop invitation was designed to promote a beginner-friendly event centered on learning, creativity, and engagement with comic storytelling. Inspired by classic comic book aesthetics, the design incorporates bold primary colors, halftone patterns, dynamic panel layouts, and expressive typography to create an energetic and immersive visual experience. The folded invitation format mimics the structure of comic panels, guiding the viewer through information such as featured speakers, event details, and registration. As shown in the invitation and mockups , the design highlights fictional appearances by industry figures while maintaining a playful and approachable tone. The project was created using Adobe Illustrator for illustration and graphic elements, and Adobe InDesign for layout and typography. Together, the system captures the excitement of comic culture while clearly communicating event information.
Challenge: One of the main challenges was balancing a highly stylized comic aesthetic with clear and readable information. It was important to organize multiple content sections within the folded format without overwhelming the viewer. Additionally, maintaining consistency across both print and digital applications required careful attention to layout, hierarchy, and visual flow.

Significance: The companion Instagram post and story extend the invitation into a digital format, increasing accessibility and audience reach. As seen in the social media mockups , the designs adapt key visual elements such as bold typography, character illustrations, and comic-style speech bubbles into engaging, platform-specific layouts. These pieces function as promotional tools that maintain visual consistency while capturing attention in fast-paced social media environments.
